painted??

im looking for new rims and a choice is silver painted. how do they hold up? anyone know, as opposed to satin finish? thanx

I have had my wheels for 65,000 miles or so and they are still near perfect. BSA 259

Im my experience, painted aftermarket rims (at least cheap ones) hold up better over the long run than clear coated ones. The silver paint seems to protect the aluminum from pitting due to road salt, etc.

I believe that the "satin finish" ones are also typically painted, just with a finer size of aluminum particle in the paint.
