As much as I love the import scene, in a couple of years I have to be driving one of these

That's strange... I was thinking the same thing this morning. I gotta get one of those in a few years.

I've been saying all along that I would like one of those as well. But, I'll never buy one.

I hope Chevy does the same thing with the Camaro, but they'll proabably screw it up.

It might surprise you hyunelan2, but they've stopped making the camaro/firebird last year. (They even dismantled the plant this summer)
About the 'stang, this model is the best looking one in years, i think this desing is really taking back the vintage highlights with today's trends. I like it a lot, but will it be fun to drive?

Yea they stopped, but there is talk of a new retro styled Camaro coming out in a few years, built on the next/2nd gen GTO platform.

He was referring to Chevy's plans to build the Camaro again. If/when they do it, it'll be a complete redesign.
As for the Mustang...
I like it a lot, but will it be fun to drive?
I have no doubt it'll be fun to drive. I've read a bunch driving impressions and seen several videos... www.stangnet.com. People are also giving the redesigned suspension a lot of praise saying that it performs & rides much better than its predecessors.
There has been a hundred or so pre-production models driving around for awhile now... and just recently the first large rollout of cars has been produced and might be shipping to the dealers starting today.

For my next car . . . . It'll definitely be V8, either a Camaro 1994-2002, Trans Am 1994-2002, A mustang 1987-present or A corvette any year... Maybe an Elantra with a Chevy 5.7L V8. or 427 big block.

I kinda agree with that, but I think it's still an improvemnt from the C5 corvette.

Still... there is something about the Mustang. The statistic behind repeat Mustang owners is pretty impressive... something like 33% of Mustang owners will buy at least 2. And the average is half that. I don't think there is any other import in the pricerange that could match the fun factor of the Stang. 300HP, 0-60 in 5.0 sec. (according to MotorWeek), $25K, good stuff.

despite the critics, I think the new vettes are badass. and I like the new mustangs as well, though that color is nasty
