i have been looking for rims for my 05 elantra gls. she is bright red and completely stock for now. i got her new in 05. so what do u guys think about these wheels.

Personally, I think the bronze rims would be a little risky; I dunno how that would turn out on your red car. I do like the style a lot and the black would look good imo.

What size? In 15's they'd both look a little silly IMO. In a 16 or 17 I think the second onewould be better, but I just think the black wheels are so played out.

I like the first style, but the second color. See if you can find a machine or polished lip as well. Chrome sucks to take care of.

I remember one of the eclub members with a red tib and he got bronze rims. It looked quite good. Granted it needs to be the darker red and not the firetruck red.

ok thanks guys. does anyone on here have bronze on a red car that i could see? and i am goin with 17". the 2nd ones are graphite not black. i don't want black. i want to see the rims not shaddows of them.
i would'nt waste my time. with 15 or 16" rims,jmo. i'll keep looking and post pics for more imput from u guys.

yeah, when I was thinking red i was thinking the fire truck red, not the metallic candy apple red like mine. I also like the first ones style better then the second.

which black wheels? do u mean the konig unknowns pictured on the red gt above? i am planning on lowering it,so i'll be getting the konigs in 17". i have pretty much made my mind up and i want them.

well i really want the 1st ones in bronze,but i am unsure how they will look on a red car,so until i can get a pic of them.... hell i don't know!! i'm torn. yesterday i was goin with the unkowns and every time i come back to this post i see the bronze ones. its frustrating. i'll keep searching for ANY bronze wheel on a red elantra.

i just want to thank all u for ur imput. as stated above i have it narrowed down to 2 wheels. so thanks again and if u have pics postem.

i should have said similar style, mine are only 8 double spokes, those are 10 double spokes
i am sure someone can do a photochop of it and make the wheels bronze and the car red

there is an aftermarket site that u can test view rims on our cars. you can change the color of the car and everything, but I can't remember what the site is. If anyone can think of it post it, and I will keep looking as well. that would probably help. even if they dont have the exact rims, im sure they would have some bronze ones so u could see the color

the only one i know of is tirerack.com, and i've checked they don't have any bronze wheels in 17 or 18". i'll go back and see if they have any in 16" just to give me an idea.i appreciate all the help guys. i don't mean to be a PITA,but this is important.

i did that this past week and found several pics like u said. i have decided that i am goin to get the bronze ones as soon as i get the money. i like the way they looked.

ok. i need to bring this one back to life.

i found these rims. it is 18x8 with a 3 1/4" lip. i found it on r1 racing's webssite. then found it on wheelsnext.com un my year,make and model.

now wheels next indicates that it will fit. there are other styles that r1 has with this "mass lip" thing.

here is my concern all the 18" that have this mass lip are atleast 18x8,but with a 40mm offset,how can this work w/o major issues. i would think i would need atleast 43mm off set to make any 18x7.5 work. so wut up wit dat.lol. so what should i do.

this is the "riddick" and it doesn't have the mass lip in the sizes that we would need for our cars. it does have a 2.75" lip wich is just as good imo.

edit. i just called wheelsnext and they said that the front wheels is 18x7.5 and the rear is 18x8. so the front wheels have a 1.75" lip and the rear has 3.25" lip. he also said that both wheels are 40 mm offset and that they will work. i am skeptical. what do u guys think? the bad thing is no tire rotation. i'm not liking that at all. so i just might go for the one with a 2.75" lip.

My advice stay away from lips. They are weaker at the lip so if you have a lower profile tire that is flush to the lip, no bump from the side due to the weight of the car on the tire, then if you hit a pothole hard it may start to bend or worse break it. IF you go with a 15 or 16 it would be ok as you would need a bigger tire to match the diameter of the stock tire, or else your speedo will be off, for 17 I use 215 45 and when I had a lip mine cracked. I know use a lipless wheel or whatever the real term is.
