I discovered totally by accident that if you get some Zip Ease (blue can), VERY carefully using Q-Tips, apply to the area you want, wait about 30 Sec, and wipe off, the black comes off with no scratches. Leaves the crome nice and shiny. This is bacause the crome layer is actually a thick "foil" type. I discovered this when converting a grill I bought from Hyunelan2 that I am converting to a new style for my car. Also If you take off too much black, you can then tape off the crome and spray that "oops" area with flat black so its black again...
Use this advise at your own risk, best to do with an "extra" grill

Nice grill! It looks a lot better than the plain stock one.

Personally I'm not a fan of a lot of chrome on the exterior, but it looks good.
I definately prefer a mesh grill to that style.
Nice to see someone with a silver elantra with those headlights, I have the same, and have been thinking of replacing the amber lens with a clear lens.
