I finally fooled a rice boy into thinking my engine was 100% stock !


hahahah .... all of this time spent waiting and it payed off !

Anyhow, i went to the 1/8th drag strip (outlaw class) and I raced this accord v6 with vtec (auto) coupe 2door model... All it had was a short ram intake....

Even start, i beat him by 2 cars.. then we got back in and raced again, i beat him again by 2 car lengths...

so we came back to the pits and i popped my hood.. his eyes almost came out of his head... he was like.. "that **** is totally stock !" ..

And i'm like... yeah !!!!!!! hahaha how much hp does that honda have ? 200 you say ??? wow !!! hahahahaha

so here is some math for you people...

based on the 0-60 calculator here: http://www.nitrousworld.com/0-60_performance.php

I ran some #'s...

based on my previous dyno and g-tech times... I dynoed 136.6 whp (CAI) whp and ran an average 0-60 of 7.5 seconds (stock air box).

if i plug in these #'s... I get the current 0-60 ...

HP: 155
weight: 2550
0-60 = 7.53 (calculated & g-tech actual)

I went on edmunds.com to get the weight and HP of the 98 accord v6 auto coupe...

HP: 200
weight: 3197 (dry weight, i would say its more like 3350+ wet weight)
0-60 = 7.76
with 3350 lb , 0-60 = 8.04 (more like the actual race..)

so there you have it..............

I had someone recent think their 4 cyl accord auto could beat me. Needless to say they got beat by bus lengths . with the speakerbox in and the windows down. It wasn't pretty. :)

im not sure if the v6 accord was ever made in manual form. i know the 4 banger f23's were available with a 5spd, but not the v6. if they did come with a 5spd. it would be a more popular car with the racers out there.
