Mods that I have done to my car that effect 1/4mi:

Home-made cai
short shifter
no spare tire, no rear seats, no pass seat

Results.....

I didn't brake into high 15s like I wanted to, although I was able to settle in mid 15s

my best run is here:
R/T 1.068 ( didnt really care about it tonight, really concentrating on my RPMS)
60' 2.284
330 6.526
1/8 10.069 @ 69.04
1000' 13.103
1/4 15.697 @ 87.70 MPH

I went with my friends and beat 5sp accord with CAI, and exhaust, he run 16.4. I beat 99 auto maxima stock, and my other friend's maxima run 14.8 with some mods and 6sp.

Time slips will come tomorrow once I get my scanner to work!

How chilly was it there yesterday?
What really affected your time was the cold air + the cold air intake you have.
If you haven't done the throttle body coolant bypass on your car, you really should!!
After an hour of driving your throttle body stays cool to the touch and I'm SURE that would have even helped your times even more!
Great 1/4 time! :)

Imagine how much better your ET would heve been if it hadn't taken you a day and a half to get out of the hole! JFWY Good numbers Pashka, now go find an empty parking lot and work on your launch technique and reaction time.

great running there !

The biggest advantage the rd tib has is the light weight. .. they are just about the same as the XD elantra as far as weight goes... and even maybe a little lighter....

Thanks guys :)

it was in low 60's there last night. you would have fun if you came!

I need to work on my launch? you kidding me man? show me someone with CAI that has 2.2 60' time? I worked my launched to perfection! there is no spin at all!!!

Dont care about RT because i know i can do well if i really concentrate on them, once got .500 with .500 being perfect :)

I still have the elantra as well, but I havent done anything new to it and its auto, so you cant get anything better than what I already did.

RD and RD2 are light, I believe they are exactly the same weight with our XDs, maybe 40lbs more or something, but they are a lot more aerodinamic :)

here is the slip :)

odessit, the 60' mark has noting to do with your cai. its all about hooking up. a proper response would have been "Its not bad for street tires" (which its not). what rubbers are you running?

you are kind or right and wrong at the same time. CAI adds power, so it will decrease your 0-60' times, but I have to say that it's mostly about your driving. I have all-season dunlop tires, they are 205s.

OP....i had an RD2 silver 5spd....i was on a backroad...doing about 50-55...i went into this turn(with stuff in the trunk)....a deer poked out...i turned in just a little bit and the rear snapped out...i corrected it and it swung back the other way and then i met three trees....needless to say the car was totalled....it had 98,000 miles on it...it was prime time to rebuild and turbo the beeotch! unfortunetly....i no longer have it....and then when i went to the auto yard to find my domelight....what do i see...my busted up tib! it had been raped for its engine and tranny and the interior was gutted...poor thing  :(
