Okay. I'd like to change the type of bulb that's in the Parking Light socket. Though, I'm not totally sure if this is called the parking light. See the picture to know what I'm talking about.

Enough rambling... I want to replace the glass bulb with a hyper white LED to get rid of the yellowish tint that the little light gives.

Has anyone replaced that light on an 04? If so, which type of light did you get? Also, which one will easily fit? I'm getting a few lights from Autolumination, so if anyone could direct me to the correct type, I'd appreciate it.

Why don't you take out the yellow lense and make it clear and just put an amber light bulb in there instead.
Oh **** my bad your talking about the light under the low beam its a wedeged light bulb. but if you want try taking out that orange lence from your signal light and make it into a clear like and put a orange light instead.

for the backup lights, they takes the #1156 socket bulb, which you can get in ultra-bright 24-LED clusters from autolumination.com

I dont know if i got a bad batch, but the LED's from autoillumination were poor compared to stock. You would also need a LED equalizer if you plan to run LED turn signals.

I'm not sure LEDs would be a good choice for backup lights... if you want to use them as backup llights..... seems that LEDs would be too focused to be effective....

Of course I've been wrong before....

Alright, I noticed two days ago that one of those little parking lights blew. So just now on my lunchbreak I decided to get a little rice. The first and hopefully only APC part to grace my car will go in tonight. I bought the 194 bulbs in blue to throw in there. I'll take pics tonight when I install them, I hope they aren't too bright, as in very noticeable by the police with the headlights on.

EDIT: Alright, I popped these in last night and took a few pics, with the headlights on, the camera couldn't even pick up the blue, in person, you can see the blue bulb shining, but it projects no blue light.

I apologize for the picture taking skills, it seems I don't quite have my roommate's digital figured out yet.

How do you get to the parking light bulb? Can I just keep pulling from the rear of the headlight unit, or do I have to remove the whole thing?

I took off the black cap that covers the back of the light fixture, but I can't seem to get the P light out. I can spin it, but it just stays in there. Suggestions? Anyone?

Does that mean that the blue tint to the lights isn't enough to provoke a bored cop?

I was thinking about doing this exact same thing (except maybe with those inverted LEDs from autolumination.com so that the color won't fade), but the cops around where my gf lives... well, they aren't very nice. I already had to remove the blue fogs from my old '00 Elantra, and they weren't even that blue. Bastids. I loved those lights. :(

keep in mind that LEDs will probably be brighter and have a truer blue color than traditional bulbs.....

I had this same problem... I change my bulbs after baking them in the over to clear the corners and do my angel eyes, but I couldn't find any hyper white or LED bulbs locally to replace them with so I still have yucky yellowish white bulbs. Is there a way to get to them with out pulling the headlights open?

I changed the bulbs yesterday. Just pull the black socket... really hard. They'll come out so you can put in a replacement bulb. Once ready, just shove them back in. I should have figured this out earlier... meh.
