Ok,
As some of you know, my second car is a BMW525i M3. The other day, I had to replace the headlamp. When I did I noticed that these are independant projector beams. These projectors are easy to find here and would work into my "cheap a$$ bastard" sceme. So do you think the light pictured below (only the left one) could fit in the XD headlight with modification?

I think it will work fine, but want some opinions...Audi ones have been mentioned but not these...

And of course the XD:

I am sure the projector will fit bacause the Elantra headlights are big. However, those type of halogen projectors were some of the first ones ever used on a car and are considered to be a "flawed" designed. They aren't really good halogen projectors and the light output will be worst than your stock set-up. However, if you were to come across some more modern halogen projectors, it'll be a different story. Look into these following halogen projectors: Sonata, XG, 2003+ Tib, E39 5 series, Saturn, New Passat, and many others. I can tell you now that although you maybe happy with the way your E30 projectors might look in the XD, the light output will be crappy compared to stock. I am not just saying **** either. I actually work at BMW so I see those lights everyweek. The cutoff is nice, but the output and width of the beam spread sucks. Also they do not have the bluish color flicker like some of todays halogen projectors have. This is why some people think the XG has hid in the US. They just use a more better design in todays halogen projectors. Hate to discourage you!

What I would definitely recommend is getting the Valeo H7 halogen projectors. They are halogen projectors but they work even better with hid than any other halogen projector out. They take H7 bulbs just like stock, but can also be fit with with an OEM or aftermarket hid kit. That will be your best halogen projector move!

Josh K,
I don't get the comment...

I have decided to look for the newer projector beams. Thanks for the direction DJ Hellfire. We'll see what I can find.

God I'm surprised it took so long for someone to realize that lol. This must be the Special Edition, one of a kind, 525i M3 released only in Germany I take it? hahaha

I did realize it, but I just figured it was a type error!

If your getting HIDs, get a projector designed for HIDs. My conversion using the halogen lamps puts out too much light. Ask SuperGLS or anyone else thats seen them or driven in front of me.
