I found this, but it seems kind of expensive OBD II (http://www.obd-onboarddiagnostics.com/AeroCart/list.asp?cat=51,52,3,0,0)
ScanTool (http://www.scantool.net) would be a cheaper way if you already have a laptop. Software is free, only would need to buy the data cables.

just doing a quick search i got 36 results on eDonkey...give that a shot...i'll try to remember to look for it tomorrow when i'm bored at work and a bit more sober...btw where did you get a cable to hookup to the ECU or wherever that is you do hook up to? i have an old Palm that i wouldn't mind finding the software and the hardware for to use for that purpose

Most of the kits come witha cable....I don't have one...the reason I am looking for this is cause the warrenty for the 4 runner is expired just need the code cause I got a repair manual.....

I think the ScanTool is the one that Ford uses, and he seems to like it. You can also go to PepBoys or Autozone and buy one. I think Autozone will actually read your code for you for free, worth checking into.
I moved this to the help section.
