Just a quick question from the audio challenged:
I swapped out my stock rear speakers and would like to do the same for the fronts. I have tweeters above them in the doors. Is there anything I need to know about this setup, or is it a simple swap?
Thanks,
Larry

Well, the biggest issue is pulling the door panels. Other than that, the fronts are 6 3/4" speakers. 6 1/2 will fit if you don't mind being creative.
Some of the guys here suggest that if you put in good 3-way fronts to unplug the factory tweeters. I don't remember the exact reason but I'm sure someone will chime in!
I must admit that changing the speakers all the way around made a HUGE improvement in quality and clarity!
Good luck!

If you search the archive section you will find tons of posts about direct replacements. From what was said there you can put Infinity seperates in and the tweeters fit just about perfect.

has anyone tried to install rear door speakers in the '03 egt hatch?
I'm looking to put 6 3/4s in and need to know if anyone has determined that there is enough depth in the lower door panel?
