Just go to a junk yard and take the whole assembly then you should be OK

Lol i did the same thing to my gls 02 a couple months ago. It was raining and i was taking a left turn at about 30 mph and started hydroplaning right into a bridge curb. I messed up my whole front axle, suspension and everything. Like the front right tire was hanging diagonally like \\ instead of ||. Bridgecurbs = 10 inches of concrete... and there was pretty much nothing i could do since i wasn't expecting to hydroplane... i mean who does... so the whole thing costed 2k+ to repair about 700 of it was labor and i went to a hyundai dealer since it was about 12pm and i didnt know anywhere else to go so i just had it towed there... so pissed off about it. Were you still able to drive off cuz when i went off the curb, i heard a horrible crunching/dragging sound of my front right tire... so i knew it wasnt going anywhere. Also i have stock rims and suspension. And about 10-15 parts were on this list of things needed to be ordered and replaced...

I did this last winter. Bent the lower control arm on the drivers side. Cost me about $500 to replace that, a new stock rim, and labor. Not to bad I guess. I went to a private shop. But try not to drive on it. That makes it much much worse.

dude thats harsh. When I scratched one of my rims I almost threw up, now with something like that I would be a total write off. Best of luck to you.

If you take it to the dealer, they will ram you hard ! LOL
like over $1000 in damage there, you'll need a new control arm for sure, then they would have to determine if any of the power steering components were damaged & the strut and aother related parts...
It could get ugly... my suggestion, drive the car off a cliff (hopefully with out you in it) and get an 04 XD2 :) J/K ! :)
Hmm... if you have full cover insurance, and a low deductible, you can have them pay for the repairs.

It may only cost you $250 now but it will cost you more money down the road when your premium goes up.

WOW

Did you get a reantal car?

You may have chassis damage at the back mounting point of the control arm. The wheel is sitting too far back for the size of the crack on the control arm, plus the way the fender has crumbled a bit... I hit a curb with my 99 and that was a weak point. I was lucky I only ended up with +.35 deg camber, but caster was 5 degrees off, and two alloys shot. Body shop wanted $200 to straighten it out, but they recommended not to bother if the car drove straight. Drove it for another 50 K miles with no problems before traded it in...

:drive: :smiley_ab :znaika: :bling: O.k. way before we all got wise and bought Elantras.....I owned a 94 Prizim....I wrecked it on you guessed it......wet road and drainedge ditch....well I bent the control arm, pushed the front passenger side up and back about 3" AND went over a pipe that was buried in the ground at 60mph plus....I went to a local junk yard picked up a lower control arm, bought a ball joint and fixed it myself for a TOTAL cost of about $150...of course I rented abay at Ft. Hood....but its ws easy as hell...took me about 2 hours and had my friends dad do 4 struts and wheel allignment for a case of beer....priced at about $300....(his dad is manager of a firestone station).....I would do it myself..its real easy...

Well, i too didn't know what the hell was wrong with the car so i knew it was better off at the dealership mechanics. They do charge more, but at least i know that they know what they're doing since they handle hyundais all day and can order the parts (took about a week to get in and around 15hours of labor including allignment and other stuff). Warranty doesn't cover accidents... and i didn't use insurance since i knew my premium would go way up so i paid all check.
