what rpm are you guys crossing the traps?

my calculations based on the gear ratios that I have for the elantra say that a trap of ~86mph should be at about 6,000 rpm.

its telling me that in 3rd at 6500 rpm you should be traveling 93mph on stock tires.

this sound right to you? or am I going to have to do a freeway run tomorrow and see what the speedo tells me?

With the snow tires i had on last time i went and them being at 20 pounds of air, i was at about 6100 when i crossed in third.

i guess I thought the xd was pushing the redline as it crossed the traps... oh well, thanks for the info.

I believe I did bump the rev limiter in Third when I had the DRs on the car.

they were 23" rubbers, and as I recall and you trapped at 86mph.

I think the FD is off on the gear ratio numbers I got.

Yeah i think you are right I measured the DRs at 23's but I am pretty sure I hit the rev limiter. I am almost positive that I did not hit the rev limiter in 3rd gear on the 17's in the 1/4. What a difference the 1 inch makes

3rd gear will run out to almost 150km/h which is about 90mph, I cross the 1/4 mile around 85mph and while the revs are up there, I still have a fair bit left before I would hit the rev limiter.
