I use my phone alot. Can we get a mobile version of the site? It sucks to have to scroll left and right to see everything posted in a thread.

just a thought I'm sure others have had it as well.

No problem with Opera Mini in Mobile View here. No left/right scrolling, just up/down. Easy breezy.

funny thing. they are setting up a pittsburgh app. you can take pictures of problems you run across...like graffiti, pot holes, vandilism ect. Then it will upload the pics and description to a website run by the city so that they know about it and can get it fixed. I dont like the iphone but it's a neat idea.

I'm with James..buy an iPhone. It can do pretty much anything you want it to do comparable to a computer. And yes, it can send picture messages. You just have to be smart enough to figure out how.

i still like skyfire, its for windows mobile (and maybe other phone types by now?). its a full web browser without limitations. flash, java, you name it. i used it to post on exd today!

I agree with above (minus the iPhone, I hate it with a passion).

A good phone with a real browser and you're ok ... I have a Nokia 5800 and I have no problems!

I have no problems posting and reading ans such but it's a pain in the *** to have a full website smooshed into a 3 inch screen. Where as CrookedH has a mobile version of the site (for the forums) but the main page with the shout box and all that is pretty much the same.

shout boxes are bad. when i was on crookedh all i did was use the shoutbox and log off..

The shoutbox on crookedH fails because there's not enough interest/traffic. On a local forum that Bob and I frequent, the shoutbox is the most used thing..because of the member base. Most everyone are good friends, and we don't allow just anyone to use it. You have to reach 75 posts before you can even see it..that weeds out the lurkers/newbs/trolls.

Success of a shoutbox all depends on the members. I think it might actually do okay here, considering how much we whore up the o/t threads. It would cut down on the useless banter in the useful threads, at least.

I was just on cH... the shoutbox is half full with some guy calling you a dickhead.

well weve proven you can browse full websites with pretty much any web phone if you have the right application. but im not disagreeing a mobile version would be *easier*. it def would. im just saying that with windows mobile i can get to the site, read, and post without too much trouble, using third party software of course. but i rarely use anything on my phone that isnt third party.. thats why i went windows mobile! so many hacks!
