I have had nothing but problems from Tim at speed-factor

as you all may recall, i paid for my kit at the beginning of september...the order form said 3 weeks till product would be recieved...the night i talked to him, he said it would probably ship out in 1.5 weeks, and the reason he had 3 weeks was incase something didnt come in, he had some extra time... i never planned on getting it within 2 weeks, and even after 4 weeks i was not mad...when i talked to him on the 4th week, he told me he was waiting on the oil lines and it would ship out the next day...two WEEKS later, i talked to him too see what was up, and he told me he thought the guy with the oil lines was shipping to me directly, but found out he was sending them to him, so he was waiting on them to ship the kit...i asked him to ship me the rest of the kit, and ship the oil lines when they came. he told me he would ship out the kit "today" the day i talked to him (6 weeks after payment at this point). 9 (business) days after that, i contacted him to find out where my kit was, and he made up an excuse about the kit being sent back to him. i have used paypal before dealing with him and since then, and never had a shipping problem

so today, i contacted him asking for a refund on my kit, and if the kit had been shipped out, i would send it back to him and get a refund...

he comes back on an hour later (amazing...first time he has contacted me during the day is when i tell him i want my money back) telling me there are no refunds and the kit had shipped out, which i did get a tracking number in my email, saying it was sent out wednesday.

8 weeks to ship out a turbo kit when the order form says 3 weeks = crap.

i would not reccomend dealing with tim if you do not have to...

i will be putting my kit in the for sale forum, as i have talked with jeff (jelantra2k2) who works at a shop who can get me turbo'd for a very reasonable price, and hopefully some good discounts.

Evan,

I can't please you and you only paid $1385 Shipped for the Kit, so I think you got one hell of a deal, and also your like everyone else that only puts half the truth, I have talke to you just about everytime you pop up on AIM so I don't know where you get that I don't talk to you.

And Ford I'm fixing everything wrong with bob's and if you were to ask him he would tell you that since it was the first GK kit I have ever built, but unforantly I don't build the intercoolers so I don't have control over another person's bussiness.

I'm done now and will leave it at that, if people don't choose to buy I'm sorry but I can't please everyone, but I try.

Tim-

you are one of the hardest people i have ever tried to get a hold of on AIM...i try during the day, nothing (except the last couple days)...i hear you work nights, and thats when youre normally on, nothing...i wish you would just be a little more honest when talking to people

on a good note the kit did arrive today, packaged well

Felixr,

I do this on the side I have a normal job, I don't have to build kits to live. The only reason I do them is to give the Hyundai community another option, and I'm really sorry you feel that way, but if you knew me you would see I bend over backwards to try and help people out.

Evan, I do work nights so during the day is a no go on the AIM, the best way to reach me is e-mail. And I'm glad you got the Kit today, but sorry to here your selling it.

tharptroy is competely right on this one. This forum is for people who have dealt with a certain company or individual.

Again, this doesn't mean I'm trying to defend Speed-Factor or take sides. If anyone one wants to discuss this topic (or any other) with me, please send me a PM (I check the site 3-10 times a day and will get the PM back to you quickly).

evan... $1385 SHIPPED ?...

Man that is one hell of a deal even if you did wait 8 weeks man, I hate to say it... I've waited over 5 months for my car and it still isn't ready and payed a shytload more than that...

Just think of the 8 weeks as time spent to make a good kit... besides most places that make turbo kits will straight up tell you it will take 6-8 weeks before it is sent out. Most of em make you wait longer...

Honestly speaking, take the kit you paid for, bolt it up and have fun with it, cause you damn well know that you will and those 8 weeks will be something you won't even think about once the turbo is on and your boosted...

BTW, Tim, call me man...

request by whom?

Shouldn't really matter, this thread is for feedback against a seller. It should have not been closed other than it turned into a personal attack fest. The personal attacks have been deleted and hopefully everyone will act responsibly now.

Well, my best guess would be labmixz...

And it would be wrong.

Keep this on topic guys. PM SuperGLS or me if you have questions.
