hey i drive an 04 and was wondering if there is any replacement air temp sensor i could buy because i am picking up an air ram manifold and big bore throttle body. which in turn means i need to move the air temp sensor

there is no replacement for it...

what you can do is to drill a hole in the new cold air intake that you will be using, then use a rubber grommet (or silicone) and make a new socket for the sensor.

if by any chance you are confusing the MAF for an air temp sensor.. you have much MUCH bigger problems to worry about right now..

for instance, the kspec manifold does not have provisions for the idle air control valve... therefore you will have to fabricate your own adapter and manually plumb it into the intake manifold via some ports on the back...

if you are not up to doing this sort of thing.. then I suggest you ditch the kspec manifold idea... besides, nobody has any useful gains with it on a beta 2 unless they are boosting or using high lift/duration cams + I/H/E & fuel tuning.

I'm with Ford. He used to have that IM and I believe he felt he lost power. Just get your stock one bored out like Ford and I did....

felt a loss...

the car was more than half a second slower with the kspec and a BBTB.

suxors.

no i am not confusing the maf for an air temp sensor but thanks for your concern and as for not gettin reasonable gains form the parts i will worry about that latter with an apexi tuner and new intake cam

wow...

can you tell us which intake cam you are getting ?????

Just in case you didn't know Ford, (I'm not trolling, ABQElantra is sitting right next to me) the 04 XD's started off with MAF's again. So besides the CVVT, the other main difference is the new IM on it.

It SUCKS, and is tiny.

The IAT is located in the INTAKE MANIFOLD, and it's got a little airway that bypasses in front of the Butterfly Valve, directs to the IAT, and into the IM.

It's WIERD.

Here's some pics.

See the little passage on top of the TB where it meets the IM?

Also, another difference, the TB bolt pattern is different.

well, the 01-03 have the same idle bypass setup.. that is why I had to fabricate my own adapter because the kspec manifold does not include any fitting for it... Also, the specific model manifold that I bought had the map sensor fitting + the 01-03 TB bolt-pattern. so that was strange since it had the right bolt-pattern but it DID NOT have the actual idle bypass ducts.
