Ok I have a roof rack that I use to transport our Mt bikes and it is about 6-7 years old and need a new coat of paint. The only question is how sould I refinish it. Here are some pics of what I am working on here. Sorry about the pics I still don't have any of my car yet and the roof rack is in peices on the balcony right now.

and the fairing

The fairing will probably just be covered in vinyl and the rest of the parts would either be
#1 painted black just like the way it came
#2 painted car body color, rally red
#3 a combination of the #1 & #2 in a two tone paint job
#4 since it's aluminum I can just sand the old paint off and polish to a nice shine and clear coat. The only problem with this option is the plastic peices like the feet which are the parts that have contact with the car and the ends of the load bars would be painted black or some other color because they're a too faded to be left alone.

So what do you think?

I'd go with all black, but I must admit that a two tone paint job does sound interesting.
