Well, flipped the OD over 100,000 miles yesterday. So in a little over two and half years, I've chocked up these miles...damn I drive a lot. Still runs like new, no noticable power loss. Figure I can squeeze another 100K out of it with a little care. Don't know if it's making a difference but have used K&N oil filters and synthetic oil since it was new.

i would go to the store and buy a can of Restore engine restorer... it boosts the compression back to stock levels... :)

About a 60 mile drive each way to work...that's about 120 a day, 5 days a week, then weekend roadtrips, etc., etc. = lot's and lot's of miles. Bought it new in May 2002 in the bay area, came right off the boat and to the car lot with a total of 2 miles on the odometer. Also have used Restore a couple of times and also have used Lucas oil stabalilzer.

damn thats a lot of miles.... my dad used to complain about driving from central suffolk into chinatown in the city... and that was about 50 miles one way... put 35k miles on the accent every year for two and a half years.... after he shut his office down its only been used to tool around town... 130k miles now...
100k sheesh but I guess thats what u get for living in the expansive west coast...do you have more than one car? i'd hope so...

Wow. That's a lot. Good luck and keep us updated if there is any major problems you run into when you get into the 130,000-150,000 mile range (should be by next week, haha).

The record that i know of is still 220k on one engine. Its on engine number two now but the old engine still ran. I dont remember if it was an 01 or 02 though.

Going to run it until it won't run anymore. Once I hit 150K or so, I may consider grabbing up a fresh motor at the Hyundai recycler and just setting it aside for when it's time for a swap. Good news is I will be moving closer to work in the next few months.

That is not bad, it is good to hear our cars doing so well. I have just over 10,000 miles on mine and it will be 2 years old in December. Now my company vehicle is another story. I just got a new van about 6 months ago and I have over 35,000 miles on it already.

I've only got 82,000 miles or so on my car at this point, and the only bother I've had are the sphincterriffic warped Hyundai brakes and the 70mph vibration. Other than that, the car's been above and beyond the call of duty in a major way.

72,000 miles and my XD accelerates like a Geo Metro. I guess I've ridden her a little hard.
