some of you may remember when i first got on this forum i told you what the dealer said the car had. they said it was chipped had exhaust cold air intake. The only thing they were right on is that it had an SRI i spoke with the guy who owned before me who is actually a member of this site and he set the record straight. they were right about the lowering of the car too but that is an obvious thing to see. so i am a little upset at the dealer for lying oh well. just more i have to do on my own.

Did you look under the car and hood? I would think it would be rather obvious if there was a CAI verses SRI and stock exhaust rather than aftermarket. The only thing I think would be less obvious is if the car had an aftermarket chip or not and at that point you might want to either ask for receipts or some proof. If they can't prove it's on a car they are selling, then I wouldn't pay extra for it, and a reputable dealer shouldn't be claiming it's a feature of the car if they don't have solid proof.

As for the person who's car it was having their name posted, I say no way. They made a deal between themselves and the dealer, and then you made a deal between yourself and the dealer. Two seperate things. If they want to confirm what mods the car has to you in private, that's fine. But they have no liability whatsoever as to what the dealer is claiming to you.

I just was asking out of curiosity...not out of liabilty. Its not that big of a deal.

no its not that big of a deal and GTracer i am not that big of a retard i can tell the difference between a stock muffler and aftermarket one i was just thinking that there could have been some piping done and i didnt know the difference between an SRI and a CAI, but now i do. I do not hold any of this against the member of this site a all in fact i am not mad at all i was just clarifying what the vehicle had because some people sounded like they were interested. I wouldnt particularly say that Denny Heckers is that reputable of a dealer around here. like i said before the car drove nice looked fantastic and gets good gas mileage so i bought it i didnt buy it for the things done to it although they are a bonus

no the hood scoop is not functional it is on with 3M tape. it looks kind of cool though
