i just got my hotshot header in today...
took it out of the box and i thought the hotshot was a 4-2-1 header
unless im looking wrong this one seems to be a 4-1

also i was wondering what the hell do i do with this o2 relocation kit?
where does the 2nd o2 sensor need to be moved to?

is the 2nd o2 before the cat and need to be moved past it?
or is it reverse?

someone PMed me earlier asking about the hotshot, here's part of it:

1.Do you still feel this mod was worth it?
2.You mentioned to get bolts before you start... How many and what size?
3.I don't have access to power tools, only hand tools. Is this an install I can do in my driveway? I assume it's just a hand full of bolts.
4.How does the o2 sensor extension work? No welding necessary right?

Thanks for any resonse. I'm just about N/A modded out. This would be one of the last and then I'll be done.

1. yeah, it was worth it, Im a sucker for a little extra horsepower, and I could feel a difference. though I do plan to make a custom header eventually.
2.the bolts are 3/8x 2" and you'll need 2 of them to connect the flange of the header to the stock exhaust. you'll also need to buy two nuts that match the bolts as well as a couple of washers(optional).
3. the first time i changed my header, I used hand tools. it just takes longer. probably want to put the front of the car up on jackstands. I do most of my work in the driveway anyway.
4.wrong, you need to drill a hole in the exhaust after the 2nd cat and have a shop weld the O2 bung on, as well as splicing the wiring for the O2 sensor.
not that huge of a deal, and the car will run just fine without it, you'll just have a check engine light.

yep, the hotshot is a 4-1 header.

"the 2nd o2 is before the cat and need to be moved past it" -you've got it, the 2nd O2 is just there to tell the ECU if the catalytic convertor is functioning correctly, so it needs to be placed after a cat.

well ****....i thought i was getting a 4-2-1
is there really a big difference between 4-1 and 4-2-1?

also. after install did u notice a big increase in the exauhst being louder?

how did u plug the original o2 bung?

1 more question.....if i installed the header and waited to do the o2 relocation the car will run fine with the cel on?
i thought these new cars screw up if ur not getting a correct o2 reading!

There won't be a huge difference between a 4-2-1 and a 4-1, and the car will run fine untill you get the relocation done on the 02 sensor. The cel won't do any harm other than annoy you.

u will throw bank2 efficiency codes with no rear o2...wont pass inspection...do you guys have o2 simulators for your cars? thats what i ran in my z28 so it wouldnt throw the code...but then I got my codes disabled via a tuning program and wont ever throw thatSES ever again.

It was not a direct bolt on was it, the flange is in an angle

HotShot makes awesome headers. They have a generation VI header for the Nissan SR20 engine that is tig welded... man it looks nice.

if you're going for that header, be sure to allow for a proper transition if you're going to run 2.25" piping anywhere. burnsstainless sells them.

Oh, I should have specified that I am not going to get the hotshot. Instead, I'm going to get the RPW header (actually I was pretty convinced that I was going to get the RPW one before) but I'm waiting for exchange rates to get better.

Edit-

Did you all know about the Kspec Group buy on headers! I'm sure I'm just slow. I think I might look into that route afterall.
