Cornbread, where did you get your bulb? I bought a UV black light bulb but it doesn't look as bright as yours. http://superlumination.com/images/auto_bulbs/194ovalbl.jpg

Before there was ever a group-buy for these, I think someone made their own from one of the gels that go over a fluorescent light in a drop-ceiling (See Home Depot / Menards / Lowes). They cut it to size, used a soldering iron to clean up the edges, and stuck it in place. I don't remember where that was at? Either here, EC, or the archives.

Who dares dig up my old post! Yeah these were from a group buy that went not so good. You can make them just like hyuelan said. Just get the drop celing light panel and cut them to fit and use some adhesive to get them in place. Those are 194 bulbs in there and one of my lens is cracked but its still in the car.l

so if you need to make a new one for yourself.... might as well make a couple dozen more and sell them right?

The ones from the GB are very nice. They look 100% OEM.
Using the light covers will work but it'll never look as good as these because of the curve that the OEM ones have.
I wish I had better pics right now, but I don't. Here are some of my old pics.

it makes the car looks better without that crappy red piece
the bulb is actualy just a basic 194 bulb i even put a matrix bulb in so its extra bright
ill take pics of mine just for reference tomorrow

I used the "cracked glass" fluorescent bulb covers from a home depot, I like the look better than the OEM. Will take a better pic later today.

People are saying getting the light covers from home depot don't look as good cause they don't have the shape of the OEM, so I'm wondering, could you possibly cut your own piece then heat it up with say a blowdryer enough that you could flex it to get some shape?

dont think a blow dryer would have enough heat, maybe a heat gun!
throw it in the oven for a few minutes in should make the plastic maleable

Does anybody know where I can buy a side door marker of two? I don't really care what color they are. I also don't want to waste my time at a junk yard. My car looks like crap without it on there. All of my retaining tabs are broken off. I also don't plan on making one.
