I'm sick of everyones whining like a bunch of little *****es. If a topic gets locked it gets locked, if your post gets deleted it gets deleted. If you don't like it then don't come back.

I'm not your mom, I'm not your dad, I'm not going to hold your hand when you walk across the street. This site isn't a daycare and we're not babysitting any little kids here.

I like EVERYONE on this site and I'm glad that most people like it here. What I don't like is when people go out of their way to whine and ***** like a group of six year olds.

You just take stuff to serious, I was like that before but got over it, *****ing is a way of releasing stress. I dont think is ment to piss anyone off. best thing to do is start banning people that get to you, I include myself on that list. you do what you have to do.

as long as People dont whore the usefull threads there should be no problem, the off topic area is that off topic for ****s and giggles.I know that was my last post on the college thread that trigger this reaction. What else is new me getting people wound up with joking.

Here is a quote from a Ranger site that I visit (used to own a Ranger). You should like this one Super.

"I'm not your Momma, I'm not your Daddy... I am the liquored up, stressed out, irate daycare worker with the paddle that will bust your *** if you choose to make trouble on my site! If you are one of these snot-nose trouble makers then consider this website Generation-Daycare.com and the play-pen ring match is on! Happy Posting!"

Not to be a dick...but dealing with the members sorta comes with the responsibilty of owning a website. I only know because I was an owner of a site and I got out of it because of it being a day in day out hassle.

The best philosophy is to let threads run their course unless it turns into personal attacks...locking and deleting just causes more problems than it solves.

Locking and deleting threads without explanation causes problems... if you have a fair set of rules that you can point to when you lock a thread or delete it (btw, better to have a private admin forum that you move threads to... deleting eliminates evidence, moving it just hides it from public view) then you can keep the scope of the community focused, and have a reference to point people to when they say "I didn't know!"

I have a forum myself, for our group of friends... When I lock a topic, I have a special 'trash' forum, which is read-only and I leave everything there. That way, good convos that just turned out bad can still be viewable...

But being an Administartor is a very tough job and I admire waht Super Does... Being involved like that until this date takes a lot of dedication!

ok...i think someone needs to wash the sand out of their vagina

for real...youre starting to sound like some of the people on this site, *****ing and complaining about something they dont like.

i agree w/ northernyankee...you agreed to take over the responsibility of this site, and im sure this isnt something that just started. hell, im sure you used to be one of the people who is now pissing you off

if you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen. step down and let someone else take over as Administrator...i know there are a lot of people on this site, and a lot who would not mind having that position

...and yes i realize this is in the flame section...just giving you my opinion

;) So much for being able to rant on your own website eh James? Jeez guys give the man a break. (How is my ***-kissing, good, huh?) To be serious, the entire internet is a day-care center you just happen to be in charge of one room. Could be worse, you could be universally hated around here.

Thanks for everyones input. Seriously.

Most people here, especially the ones that have met me or talk to me on AIM know that I'm a pretty laid back guy and that it takes a lot to get me pissed off. I thought I would just stop being nice for one quick thread, that's all.

I appreciate all the support and the PM's I get from people telling me I'm doing a good job running the site.

Oh, one more thing, we're not going to ban anyone unless they become a really big problem (that means nobody should be worried, like I said, I'm a nice guy).

Not to be a poop-head, but not everyone is a self centered whiney brat *** kid who just got their drivers liscense. We don't all cry and ***** and moan; and someof us are mature. No, he wasn't like that. That's why he was picked.

Speaking of sand...

how do you figure that im a whiny brat *** kid? you are a whole 3 years older than me...OOOOOOHHH...makes you so much more mature...come on...give it up...ive had my drivers license for 3 1/2 years and what makes me a brat *** kid? you think my parents gave me this car? i pay for every single penny that has to do with this car...i work 40 hours a week...you dont even know me...

if someone has a problem with something getting locked, do you think theyre just gonna let it go? im sure someone will want to know why its locked etc etc...

also, i love the part in the first post about...

"I'm not your mom, I'm not your dad, I'm not going to hold your hand when you walk across the street. This site isn't a daycare and we're not babysitting any little kids here."

yet, when i ask about a street racing forum, i get the total opposite of that.

super is the administrator of the site...im sure he knew he would have to deal with this before he took over, and to know that its comin and complain about it seems kinda retarded to me

...
and i dont remember saying that all people on this site ***** and moan

I don't understand what the statement about not being a babysitter has to do with a topic demonstrating gross negligence, and contains possible legal liabilities for the site owners

Everyone needs to understand, it's not your site, it's not my site, it's not our site. It's the administrators (SuperGLS & BLUEGTs) site. We all pay no membership, and have no written or verbal agreement on what they will provide for us on this site. They have full ownership and control of what happens here. They can do whatever they want for whatever reasons they want. Luckily for all of us, they actually care about what we think and try to make it a site that makes the most possible people happy.

This is coming from the moderator who wants to bomb a whole nation just to protect himself from mainly harmless civilians. Evan may be young, but he's provided a lot of good input on this board and I think he's a pretty mature guy for his age. The guy works hard, sometimes too hard for a young kid, to get what he wants. I can tell he's spending money left and right on car parts and some may say that's careless spending, but he's an adult and he can do whatever he pleases with his money. For his age he's actually pretty responsible.

If you post a comment like Super's, be ready to expect some positive and negative criticism. Evan just happened to voice his opinion. Just because you don't agree to his comment doesn't mean you should start calling him names. Come up with a rebuttal to his comment so we can see your point of view.
