I've just been posting & reading for a few days but I wanted to mention that I thought the community is really pretty great here!!

I lived and breathed the Suzuki Intruder 1500 forum for a while and bikers tend to be a pretty friendley lot (expecially cruiser guys) so all was good there.

Over the past year though I'd been around www.spyderchat.com because I had my MR2 Spyder. Although there was a wealth of information there I could never get over how antagonistic the regulars were. I mostly lurked specifically because of that.

This board has been a nice breath of fresh air though and I feel comfortable posting right away. I think thats the big thing,

nice board=more posting=bigger community=more info=more goodness

hehe, I think im the most antagonistic of the regulars, but its not really mean spirited antagonism, I just like questions to look like they have done some thought and research before a post is made.

Well and theres nothing wrong with a little urging for people to be self sufficient... I mean... if I came on here and said... "where can I buy OEM oil filters" I would expect to be flamed a little... lol

It's just that some boards can be really mean to new posters...

I asked some suspension questions where I had done a "little" bit of research (but not enough probably) and I wasn't flamed out of my chair.

On a business note - good luck with the free iPod, I've been trying to get 5 people on here for over two months with no luck.

Yeah, I have high hopes for my car but not as high hopes for the free iPod. I just signed up for BMG when I did it... I mean you only have to buy 1 cd and you can have them email the monthly things so that it's easy to turn them down. Plus you get a bunch of other free CDs... I've signed up for and canceled w/ BMG like 10 times!! But hey I'm not holding my breath for it. :)

Somebody catch that gerbil!!!
