I was part of the group back when i worked at Fedex. A group of us here in KC would have weekly meetings at one of the local Denny's. It was a lot of fun. We'd cut up and have breakfast together.

My schedule is pretty crazy.
I stay up until at least 2am every day because that's when my unmetered downloads start.
I'm always up before 10 and usually up before 8, but I have to wake up at 8am anyhow to stop the downloads.
Crazy system, but hey it works.
Also yes I do have insomnia and have been on meds for it before, but don't bother anymore coz they end up making you feel worse.

I work swing and generally stay up until 5-6 am. Get up around 1-2 pm to get ready for work at 4 pm. I've always felt like I was part vampire. I have more energy after dark and have better luck sleeping in broad daylight than trying to sleep when it is dark.

I work right through the night on 12 hour shifts half the time; takes a while to get use to it. Switching back to days makes you feel like crap. When I can't sleep on off shifts I watch late night movies until I feel tired. Not everyone needs the same amount of sleep.

i have trouble getting to sleep, i have trouble staying asleep - constantly awaking and being 1o0% alert and awake etc

of late tho, the reason for this is that i hurt my back pretty badly at work 3months ago, and the pain from that even when sleeping stops me sleeping / gettin to sleep / staying asleep. The Dr has given me some sleeping pills to try and help me out on that one tho

but even before i hurt my back, i never was able to go to sleep - no matter how 'tired' i felt, i would lie awake for upwards of 2 - 3 hours at a time.

part of this i think is from when i worked graveyard shifts in servos.... yeah thatl stuff ya around pretty badly in the sleeping dept for sure...

I work straight nights so I am here off and on throughout the night. I do a 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off rotation, I come in at 1030pm and go home at about 630am then sleep till 11am and start work with my business or farming. I try to get a little more sleep in the winters but lately it has only been about 2-3 hours in the morning. I love having lots of skills and jobs... sometimes I wish I was useless and didn't know how to fix things, then some people would leave me alone... maybe... haha...

I've always had trouble sleeping which sucks cuz I work 12 hr shifts 5 days a week. I was off work at 10 tonight but am still up and exploring the wonderful world of XD:)

I always find it easier to sleep in broad daylight than at nighttime when I should be sleeping. It sucks. Naps are good!

Such is the life of a rock-star! lol,... Up all night, sleep all day. Wake up at 1p.m. go to sleep at 4 a.m. It'sjust an every day(night) thing.

Same. I have a huge black blanket over the window, though.
I have bamboo roll down shades outside the window to help block heat with vinyl mini-blinds inside with a roll down light blocking shade and curtains. It's like a tomb in my bedroom when it's daylight. Even though it's daylight outside, but dark in the room, it's easier for me to sleep that time of day. I guess it's what my body's cycle is used to.

If you are a day sleeper, I highly suggest spending the money on light blocking shades ... and get the GOOD ones ... at least 12 mm thick so there is NO light transfer. The two windows in my bedroom are 5 feet high, one is 5 feet wide, the other is 4 feet wide. The heavyweight light blocking shades for both windows were about $50.

Insomniacs UNITE!!! I never go to bed before 2am, and my wife hates it. As for the camera alienman, my dad has the Rebel Digital (not the xti), and he loves it. It takes some really great pictures. Not to mention the fact that all of his other lenses will swap onto it. He does have some small complaints about it, but I think they were all fixed on the new model.

Pretty reasonable Cost of living up here. as long as you stay in the suburbs or the country. City living is rediculously over priced.

well it's friday and i'm forced into the insomnia crew tonight. I am at work working on a sign that has to packaged and ready to go by 9 am. So i got some beer and my tools and i'm workin' FTW!!!!!!!!! ha ha if the boss new i was here tonight he SH*t a brick he was expecting me at 6 am tomorrow but i'm not wasting my saturday working.
