Real quick ? if i was to get a test pipe to replase the cat will my sensors go nuts. How much of a difference are we talking about as far as power i realize not alot but just curious. I have 3 kids and have to pay support on 1 of them $120 a week so i don't have lot of money...not that you guys really care but anyway my point is that i am going the cheap way and will probably get test pipe and some kind of aftermarket muffler. What type do you reccommend (I DO NOT want that farty gay honda sound) again i realize i don't have a v-8 but i had a buddy that had a neon rt back in '99 and he had nice sounding muffler on his. Lost contact with him and i don't want to get that farty sound. Anyway...hopefully the test pipe and muffler will make it sound great. Already have the most important SOUND intake. Sounds nice with these cars. I know my car isn't fast but damn sure sounds like it could whip some A$$!! ANy suggestions...

keep you cat and resonator on there if you dont want a fart can sound, i think its like 1hp between a good cat and no cat.

allright makes perfect sense then, ive heard an older tiburon with a straight pipe and it was a horrible sound

on my elantra i put a straight through muffler from e-bay and 2 1/4in pipes back to the stock resonator. not sure if i gained any power but it sounded REALLY nice. Guess, 04vagtboy, and VaHyundai can all account to the sound. sounds deep and throaty and not like a fart can.
