if it was a floppy disk, you wouldn't have much luck getting it back.
if you opened the file on your computer though, there should be some temp file somewhere which contains the data.
windows search is your friend: *.doc and change date modified to suit needs.

there are a number of utilities out there that can scan your hard drive to recover files that you have accidentally deleted or written over. sometimes they are 100% recoverable. try norton utilities... other than that, i'm not a windows person so i don't know the names of PC utilities that can do that, but i know there is a boat-load of them out there, possibly even free.

ok...thanks for the ideas....but this is what happened
i tried to print out paper #1 and i ran out of paper...i didnt check the paper supply and i got one page off and i ran out of paper....
i printed the second paper....and the first paper printed out!!!! but i was missing the first page.....i remember ripping the paper up and through it out...dont ask why i just did....so i go searching in the dumpster...find the bag with this mornings contents and found the ripped up page...and played archeologist to put all the peices back together and boom!! there is my first page!! talk about ****ing luck!!!
i typed the first page and printed it...and a nice fresh peice of paper!! thank god!! :D
