Ok, i'm just giving everyone a heads up...

I'll be going out to moroso this friday evening with a friend who drives a wrx with a few mods..

If anyone wants to come out there with me, let me know.

I'll be heading out early, like 5 pm or so.


also, i'm hoping to hit mid 15's this time...

bring 1 tube of rtv silicone so i can re-seal the valve cover after i rip it off to clean your lifters ! LOL

and bring 4 quarts of synthetic oil & a filter.

:) I have a little trick to clean those sticky lifters.


Then I'll have you ready to run this friday !

I wish dude, the problem is I am leaking oil through the seal into the third spark plug. She is also leaking oil from the pan gasket. (not a big deal, just no time/money/place) Two lifters are more than sticking... They are sufficently stuck. Absolutely need replacement, with most likely a new head from the fact that the car went 40,000 miles w.o an oil change. (before I owned it of course... It was a family car, long story.) SO, long story short I'm looking on Ebay for a motor w/ free shipping ;) of course. Also Pepboys has a motor crane on sale for 129.99 so hopefully i can get out of this Elantra pit for less than 500 bucks... hopefully. Any way if this post should be moved please move it :)

If it were a little bit closer id probably go out there, if i left right out of work id probably get there just in time to turn around and drive out the gates

udpate:

I have been debating whether of not to re-install the OBX crank pulley for this fridays moroso race...

I figure since I'll be getting the light weight battery installed on thursday.. i'm already going to skew the results of the cam sprocket modifications...

If the car runs faster, I wont know for sure exactly what the potential gains of the cam sprocket tuning are since i'll be running a lighter battery..

So I figure if I re-install the OBX crank pulley I could possibly go even faster.. maybe faster than 15.5...

what do you all think ?

there is a motor on ebay for 275 buy it now w/ 100 shipping 17k on it. I might go for it. Not sure, but maybe

Hey now, you southern guys ain't got it that bad! One little rain out eh? At least it isn't -25 degress Celcius, everything covered in snow and ice and the only racing possible is on the Xbox until the spring. :)
