95 acura vigor

My friend is gettin a 95 acura vigor and keeps tellin me my car sucks and hyundais suck and all this crap. anyway he says he can dust me in his vigor and he thinks it can run the quarter mile in 14. Hes obviously an idiot and now he wants to race me (in a controlled environment of course :rolleyes:). I did some research and it looks like a stock vigor of that year would have about 176-180hp but would weigh 3700lbs. Now if this is true, i would dust him cuz his quarter mile time would be around 17 where as mine is around 16.2 or w/e. Plus he has a stick, and this is his first manual car so he doesnt really kno when to shift and all that good stuff. So anyways, should i race him and set a good standard for hyundais at my school and then laugh at him cuz he got beat by a hyundai?

Well the whp would probably fall around 150-160 and the actual weight of the car is 3100-3200, 3700 is far too excessive unless it has a huge body kit, spoiler, sound system etc... so it'll probably beat you as long as it is still doing well being 10yrs old.. also i don't think there were 95 vigors in the US.. usually i just found information on a 92-94.. but correct if im wrong.

Also don't forget about the weight of the drivers, if you weigh 110 and he weighs 320, you'll stand a better chance, lol :)

ok ok . . to go along with what keyan is saying . . i weighed more than my friend in his vigor who was alone with an empty car. i was with my pregnant wife and the car had crap in it im sure. so there you go . . who knows, maybe you COULD beat him factoring in if he is a newb at manual shifting

Well he just came to school today and told me the vigor he was lookin at is supercharged so i would get raped. Anyway it didnt pass inspection for another reason so he's not getting it. : (

My guess is that this whole story was total BS and that when he saw that you were actually serious about it, he decided to invent something to get out of the situation without looking like a total idiot.
