I would like to start a new sticky thread... This should only contain pictures of dyno sheets & the specs / mods of the car @ the time of the dyno. I think it would be appropriate to have at least 1 pic of the engine bay so that we can get a look at what the setup is like in real life... Also, no replies or comments... we can start another thread for questions to keep this thing un-cluttered.

Here is my dyno from a while back.
130 sae whp and 133 sae ft-lbs of torque
The car was a 2002 non-cvvt 2.0L beta. Here is what I remember having for mods:

BBTB (58mm)
BIM (matched to BBTB)
Homemade CAI with flex pipe from JCWhitney
Kore wires
Kore catback
Test pipe in place of second cat
Stock exhaust manifold/front pipe
TB coolant bypass
PCV bypass to catch can

Update 2/21/05 Here is my before and after chart with the install of the ported intake manifold and gasket matched throttle body, also had the ECU reflashed for the 2 TSB's

Here is todays dyno ... Feb-26-2005

there are 2 runs shown here...

the blue line shows the dyno after about 3 weeks of driving around without resetting the ecu... 161 whp & 153 ft.lb wtq.. very very low and I was surprised to see that the ecu trimmed out so much power ...

then I reset the ecu on the dyno and VOILA ! !! the power shows !!

173.27 whp and 157.21 ft.lb wtq... that was 12 whp gain and 4 ft.lb wtq... WOW !!!

Notice the hump in the blue line at 4200 rpms... then look how the red line is so perfectly smooth.. I think i will take my car into the dealer to have the ecu flashed...

For Reference, this dyno run was done with 5 psi of boost using the sonata injectors and a basic fuel tuner to turn down the injectors at idle and a map clamp to keep the ecu from reading boost... :)

Ok, here is the print out of both runs I did on 2/21/05. The first run was with the ECU set stock after installing the IM and driving for 200 miles. The second run was with the ECU reset. Look at the torque gain after reset.

This is my Dyno from 4-9-05, it was done on a dynojet first run was 126 whp and 127 wtq. After i reset the ecu it went up to 129 whp and like 134 or so. It jumped to 138 for some reason at one point there for some reason? So i dont think that really right. I have the evofusion catback and cold air, so here it is.

I dyno'd the same day as EVOXD above, at the same shop. But you'll notice my numbers go down. LOL :eek: I was tuning my OBX cam sprocket, BUT I turned it backwards, so if anyone wanted to know the #'s of retarding the timing here they are. Ok so here we go, mods at time of dyno were: Stock 15's with stock michelins, KORE CAI, Custom Catback with magnaflow muffler and crush bends (not mandrel bent), stock header, 87 Octane regular gas, NGK V-power plugs connected to NGK Wires. TB Bypass, Ford's Ported IM and gasket matched TB, and the OBX sprocket set to stock for first run. Retarded it to 4 degrees on second run, and retarded it to 8 degrees on third run. LOL gonna have to re-dyno to get the gains. But first will need to get car fixed. So may be a few weeks.

I dynoed yesterday

the mods I have are a custom SRI, an OBX header, and a custom 2 1/4" inch exhaust with a full cat delete and one resonator and a proflo muffler. I also have NGK plug wires.

Here's the first dyno'ing with the turbo...
I gotta get bigger injectors and a new map sensor, and change my intercooler piping still, but this is what I'm getting so far, with about 5psi boost pressure.

first run, just how it came when we got there...-... base 133.81hp, 128.06tq
2nd, reset battery...-...137.36hp (+3.55), 131.07tq (+3.01)
3rd, removed silencer...-...137.31hp (-.05), 129.88tq (-1.19)
4th, set cam sprocket to -2 degrees retarded (thought it was at 0)...-...140.20hp (+2.89) 135.53tq (+5.65)
5th, set cam sprocket to -6 degrees retarded, reset battery...-...140.95hp (+.75), 133.50tq (-2.03)

final result, i picked up 6.39WHP and (if you want to count the best run) 7.47 ft/lb torque...only 5.44 if you count the final run...

All I had at the time was an SRI and throttle body coolant bypass. I got 128 hp, and 127 ft/lbs. I also did a dyno a little while later and found out I lost 17 hp through out the entire rpm range with the A/C on...

Grounding kit, 2.5" exhaust. Removed inner fender airbox/silencer and installed a K&N drop in.

haha, I just posted this same post from my wifes account so if it appears I will edit it.

Here is my dyno sheet from way back in the day. The only performance item that has changed on the car is the wheels, I had the stock steelies when I did this run. I am not really sure how much a difference the wheels make but I'm sure with the more rotational mass there is a few hp lost somewhere.
