Well, that intake might fit the 1997-2001 Tiburons and 1997-2000 Elantras, but the 2001 and up Elantras are completely different. It was a mis rempresentation from the ebayer.

the end of the pipe that has "the little hole" needs to be connected to the throttle body. it's a breather hose, it's not hard to disconnect.

There is more to it then that. That is for a MAF based car which the 2001-2003 is not. Also, it locates the pipe and filter diferently. You will have to figure out on your own if you can make it work and if you will have to cut and modify the pipe.

I had the same problem with my 02 GT, even though the ebay guy said it would fit my car. I ended up having to buy a second intake kit, put the two together and made it work, plus now I have an extra filter too. My CAI goes towards the opening between the radiator and the LEFT side of the battery, under the battery tray and out into the drivers side wheel well. I had to remove the driver side wheel well plastic liner temporarily and had to remove the battery tray to cut the corner of it off. It takes alot of patience and tweaking, but it is so worth it. As for the holes in the larger tubes, I sealed those with some colored duct tape (wrapped until you can't see the depression of the hole in the tape) and you'll have to snap off those long metal strips too(no use for them). You'll have one short intake tube left over. Oh, and you will have to plug the larger diameter branch tube, coming off the short intake tube, attached to the engine. For that I took the rubber tubing made for it, cut it, folded it over, taped it down, then clamped it(no other choice). Still, it looks sweet, and it sounds like death is coming down the road when you floor it!! Only downfall is others know you have an intake because the tip of the filter hangs down about 1/2" below the bumper line, but I like that look. Hope that helps. ;)
