you shouldn't need any extra parts but you will need to splice into a buttload of wires at the ETACS, steering column, ECU, and driver's kick panel. LOTS of wires. for a trunk release, hyunelan and i worked out a DIY which uses a standard trunk pop solenoid. if you have the extra channel then you're good to go if you pick up one of those solenoids and an extra relay. expect to pay about $25 total.

My stock alarm opens the driver side door with one pulse and all the doors with two pulses will that be a problem with the new alarm ?

nope, but unless you bring the car to a really reputable installation shop (NO circuit city/best buy type chains!!!) you're not going to be able to do it all yourself unless you pick up a copy of of the '04 electrical shop manual for the elantra. hyundai uses lots of the same color wires for different things and there's lots of wires you need to tap into. hmaservice.com does not have the '04 version online.

DEI make very good alarms I think the models are Viper, Sidewinder, Python, Clifford, Auto mate and some other brands

I was looking at some diagrams I got off of the12volt.com and saw that,
Thanks Southpaw

Jjos...i got the 04 electrical manual if you want to meet up and make some photocopies or something...it definitely makes electrical work a lot easier (and the stuff isn't on HMAs service website)
