Are 03+ Tib & 01+ XD radio harnesses compatible

Anyone know if the radio harnesses from the 03+ Tib and the 01+ Elantra XD are the same? I'm tempted to get a stock double-din 03+ Tib Infinity AM/FM Cass/CD unit, but I wanted to check to see if I could just plug it in or if I'd have to modify the harnesses.

According to this pics from HMAservice.com I would say yes.

Both use M16 connector. The Tib has an Antennia connector (1) that is not used with the Elantra and same with the Amp remote (12).

Darn, you just beat me to it, I just downloaded all those pics from webtech too.

So yes, it appears the stereos put in the Elantra and Tib are the same. So I went the extra 1/8 of a mile and saw that the Santa Fe also has the same pin configuration on its connector.

The Accent uses the same one as well. I think most of the Hyundai ones are the same (maybe besides the Kenwood or Clarion ones).

Dunno if this helps, but i have the CD/Cassatte player from a tib (unclear on the year) in my elantra right now. So they do fit, and such...

be careful with the infinity version of the tib deck... there has been debate over whether this deck requires an external amp.

That is different from the Clarion unit I got with my 02. Mine had a detacable face, but I did manage to find information about it from Clarions site somewhere.
