Ok, I got a new radio for christmas and have installed it. It's one of those ones that is motorized and can be put on different angles. I find that it gets stuck on the storage thing below.

I was thinking of taking a dremel to it and knock about 2-3 millimetres off of it, but anyone have this problem and solved it without cutting anything?

try this, remove radio and put a washer (or 2) behind the screws that hold the radio in place. this should extend the mounting depth a little. hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

My Sony XPlod Head Unit has the flip-down/detachable faceplate, and when I first installed it, it would bind on the dash fascia. So I loosened the screws, pushed up on the radio as far as it would go(maybe an extra millimeter or two), then tightened the screws back up. Now it doesn't bind at all.

This helped me be able to attach my trim plate it should help you with your faceplate issues.

If interested, here's what I did. I removed the two chrome pieces from the side of the headunit that lock the unit to the mounting sleeve. These pieces were held on by a tiny screw, right underneath that hole was another larger hole that allows you to connect the factory bracket. A little farther back is another hole that you can connect the factory bracket to also. This is where I connected mine. It allowed the headunit to stick out farther, enough to attach the Trim plate back on.
