alright... So I'm trying to get my shift knob to fit tight and actually have the numbers facing the right way....

My old B&M shifter had a nice little top that could be popped off and when you tighten down the knob you just pop the top back on and it's facing the right way.

I tried paying attention to which way the numbers were facing when the knob was tight (about 2 or 3 o'clock on the dial) I tried taking it back off and starting to thread it about a quarter turn to the left but it seemed to end up in the same spot... blah....

so, anybody have any ideas??

(oh and correct me if I'm wrong but the GT comes with the same shift knob except it's leather, right?)

um...just keep tightening it till its where you want it to be...if you cant tighten it anymore to get it to that spot, reverse it...it will still be very tight

well, I got it on there pretty good... I mean when I get it so the numbers are straight it's not loose but it moves around a little after a few days of use.

This isn't keeping me from driving or anything but I thought there might be a simple trick to threading it right.

try plumbers tape/teflon tape, apply it to the very bottomw of the threading, and stop when you cant see the tape anymore and you have the numbers where you want them, teflon tape might be too thin so try painters tape(the blue stuff)

ive got my B&M knob if you want it...i dont really like it... i know you dont have a STS, but you can pop the top off, and tighten it down, then put the cap on

well, I'm just a picky old lady when it comes to my shifter knobs but I always hated how cold that B&M knob would get in the mornings when I had it in my Spyder... brrrr...

I think I might just get my stock knob done up by a local leather shop and that way the numbers will be covered up anyway.

i know how you feel my TWM shift know is colder then a mothers tit in the morning, but that is why you get some nice leather driving gloves and you are golden

yeah just between me and you I wouldn't mind having driving gloves but I just don't want to be "that guy" with the driving gloves... ya know? I mean I can see Ben Stillers character in Dodgeball having driving gloves... lol
