04-05 Clock and possibilities

The LED's can be changed to blue, But that is going to Cost some $$ the back is plastic and in SMT soldering you need a lot of heat, but is doable. there are 10 LED's, if there is enough interest I can buy a reel of LED's and the right Tip to solder this.

Got the blue LED's on the mail today, they are ultra small, I need to get a special tip to be able to solder them, I will confirm a price soon, I will do the clock and the airbag sign together

I'm also quite interested. If i have to remove the dash to put in these reverse HVAC, I can do this at the same time.

Here is the deal, Each clock takes about 3 hrs of work maybe more plus the price of the LED's we are looking at $40 Shipped back to you

Do you think white is a good idea...maybe it will be too bright and the time won't show? Do you need me to get the White SMT LEDs or can you get them? If you think its a bad idea, I would say make the clock Blue. I can send you the clock tommorow if we sort this out.

I just wont do a superwhite 7000 mcd I can do 200 mcd, is going to look boring, but is your decision. I can do red, blue orange and white, purple is not avalible

Excuse my ignorance as i haven't taken any notice of the clocks in the 04-05 Elantra's but is it possible to put one in an 01-03 or are they completely different?

I had to buy a Special Machine for another Job and It worked great on this one, The cost of the Equipment $3500 :eek: Like I said it was for a Special Job. Will see if there is Interested, they can be Done is Blue and Red even White

The 04-06 have backlit LED's 01-03 are Green 7 digit displays so if they are Green they are green.

wow that looks amazing...i wasn't saying you were ripping people off either I just meant to me right now $50 is a lot to change the clock when the rest of the dash is green still.

i have to figure out and make a plan for the entire project before i begin working on it. I would love to do it eventually though which is why I asked if this is a short time deal or something I could ask about down the road.

Looks awesome in the daytime but that night pic looks REALLY bright! Is it a problem when driving at all?

Well the GT's have Blue illumination (see my cluster) And a lot of GLSers are going with the Red theme. So the Clock can be red too. The night pics look bright because mu camera dont like the shining stuff so it makes it very bright. it looks great and is not going to blind.
