Does anyone have these?: http://www.sharkracing.com/acecart/bin/shop.cgi?action=view&itemID=switchblade_5&cate=010402000 if so how do you like them?

Think about the bulk of these things. You will have that and your alarm fob, that's a lot of bulk to carry in your pocket. If it was an all-in-one key/alarm remote piece like a VW, it would be a great idea. But as it is, I think it's overkill.

I too was thinking of getting those, but my remote starter & alarm remote is pretty big, its a Compustar. I need less junk in my pockets. I agree with Roydjt, if its in all one unit then it would be awesome.

Do they work to start the car? I thought there was an immobilizer that wouldn't let you start the car without the same factory key or something...

I do wish they'd made the remote entry fob the head of the key instead of a separate part, though. I've seen keys like that before and that's what I'd want.

The key is a plain ol' key - no immobilizer, at least in North America.

Not to get too much off topic, but I had a guy tell me that once his ignition got busted by having too much weight from the keys on his key ring, the key didn't break, but it damaged the cambers in the ignition and had to be replaced. So I kinda agree with the above statements that you wouldn't want to anything too big or heavy on your keychain.

i had a friend purchase those from Shark Racing and he tried to start his 2003 gls and it wouldn't because the key has to have the internal immoblizer for the most of the newer model hyundai cars. those fancy shmancy keys will only work for early 2001 and lower models usually, unless your 2002+ elantra electronic mobilizer is shot. wouldn't be supprised, i had to have mine replaced along with they keys but i got everything for free because immoblizer is under warrenty :)

Not True.
I have a 2004 GT and it works perfectly.
It is bulky though.

Pretty cool ~ for the first month. Then the spring wears out and the key kinda hangs a little out. Also I spent the first month constantly folding the key away as it easily triggered out. Looked a silly with all that pocket fiddling going on.

A novelty. Nothing more.

as for the weight issue, its light i mean very light. but true it is for novelity.. but most of all it impresses the ladies :D
