One of the greatest sites I have ever found. Have fun playing some old time video games.

Not bad, but would be better if they had a quick instruction manual for the game beside it. I remember some of the controls, but couldn't get anywhere when playing American Gladitors for the NES. I was trying the Wall, which I was ok at, but I couldn't even move a single square. Oh well, maybe need a lot more pratice.

D, did Ken send you this? He sent it to me like two days ago, I forgot to post it here.
jacksonj, I think you have you rapidly hit A then B then A then B (by A and B I mean Z and X on the keyboard). I can't check right now, for some reason the game isn't loading for me.

That's what I was doing Super, but I think it's something else involved. Probably moving the cursor in the way you want to go or something stupid like that.

James - No ken did not send it to me. A friend in the office sent it to me.
I had some problems playing too. Even though I do not like to do this, you have to lower your security on Internet Explorer to play some of the games. Plus you might have to download Java 2 from Sun Microsystems. Don't forget to increase your security after playing the games though. ActiveX has some security flaws, so if you leave your security down you run a risk of someone "breaking" into your computer. Have fun.
If your playing a game that uses the LIGHT GUN you have to press the number 4 to activate the gun. The gun is really just your cross hair mouse curser.

How do you get the gamews to play?
I picked what game I wanted but the game never "ran"

If it does not run, you need to ensure Sun Java is installed, just to the bottom right of the java window there is a Link to install the Java.

Another suggestion is to add this site to your trusted sites(under tools-internet options-security) and set security there and then you don't have to remeber to reset it after you are done playing and go to visit other sites.

Unless Nintendo and Sega are making money from this site, don't expect it to be around much longer.
Also, you can download all of those games on Bit Torrent and play them on your computer whenever you'd like (not that I would know anything about that kind of stuff...) :D

Right, but who wants to download roms and emulators when you can just play them on the web? And then, obviously, you don't want to be downloaded that crap at work either, so this is a good idea for those that go to work but don't do work.
Although you are right, I'm not sure about the legality of the site, hmm.

I do.
On the net you can't use a game controller which I reckon is half the fun of these games.
:D ;) :phone:

Yeah, there's a lot of good reasons to download the roms and emulators, if you're a hardcore gamer anyway.
As Seinster mentioned, having the game controllers makes the games far more enjoyable. Plus, there are companies that retrofit the original console controllers to work with your computer via USB. For instance, I already have the 2600, NES, and SNES USB controllers.
Another reason is that you can play the games fullscreen in the original resolution. A nice advantage if you have a large screen monitor and want the full experience.
Also, the emulators have numerous features that can enhance your gaming experience, including built-in cheat devices like Game Genie.
Finally, you'll always have the games so you can play them whenever you'd like and you don't have to worry about a website shutting down or being overloaded (and you don't need to be connected to the net either).
I agree though, being able to game on the net is pretty cool, especially if you need a "quick fix", if you're a casual gamer, or like Super mentioned, if you want to game at work.

Keep in mind, I'm not against Emulators and Roms, I used to have the almost entire NES library on my comp. I just never played that many of them, some of the rare games are fun to play though.
I was being more sarcastic with my "Who wants to download..." comment.
