I just need to vent.....

I go out about a half hour ago to make a quick trip to the store and my car wont start.....I can't even turn the key in the ignition.

I think about it and try my other newer key while turning the steering wheel and even my foot on the brake (though the wheels are not cut in that much) and have no luck ---but I start noticing a little bit of gunk/small metal particles on the key when I remove it.

After 10 minutes of that I get out some CRC lube and shoot it into the cylinder and work it in with the key...no luck....so I have to call roadside service to tow it to the dealer...and I have a 30min. final presentation at 5pm today for one of MBA classes. Its just aggravating. I have had my 04 for just over 1 year and now I am already having problems.

WHY DOES STUPID STUFF LIKE THIS GO WRONG? ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

did you try hitting it? Sometimes things just need a little assurance of whos boss...

Sorry your cylinder broke, but its not like a defective line of products, just a single defect. Sucks you grabbed it.. Your car was probably built on a friday @ 4:15 :(

Always feels good to be complimented by dealership people. I get that when there's younger techs working... if it's an old guy they usually just give me a look of disgust.
