I've finally got my r34 kit for my xd2 coming. Spring kit for my 18in Venetti Tek's. Sorry guys gotta go chrome. Strut bar coming, custom paint....so many mods....so little money. Here's my question-Anybody out there with an r34 kit for an xd2 run into any problems mounting it. Just wondering, my body guy is going to let me attempt to help install.

seriously though, i'm not that much of a bastard, but i'm tired of seeing these dumb threads whenever someone orders a body kit. i don't care if it's coming in 4 weeks and that you still need to work 2 more weeks of double shifts at circuit city to pay for the install and paint.

don't make a thread until it arrives, it's been installed, and it's been painted. save for a DYI question or something else warrented. again not an a HUGE jerk, just a minor jerk, but someone needs to say it because i see this ALL the time and i'm not trying to single anyone out...

anyway post pics, i'd like to see it.

oh and after seeing many many install threads i've heard nothing but ease with this kit. it shouldn't be too difficult an install.

BTW...how much do you expect it to cost to get a shop to install and paint? I'm not sure what is a good price for paint/install.

apologies, it was an xd2 r34 kit, not an xd1. i stopped reading the post after i saw the word "ordered blah blah r34". i said i wasn't trying to single anyone out it was more of a PSA, but i guess it still made someone cry on the inside anyway. this is one of the few forums where you can get away with posts like these. as far as fitment isn't the xd2 r34 just a new front bumper anyway? and if you're going to go "why didn't you pm me do0d?" why don't you search the forums for "r34 xd2" etc and PM someone who already has it and ask about fitment? whatever i guess it's cool because he's a newbie.

you dont put chrome on a import. maybe a nice racing rim, please. :abovelol:

Elantra is not a "luxury" vehicle. dont ruin the kit by adding chrome.

Color is black obsidian, but I am putting a pearl blue with flakes into it. I read in a past thread that the kit looks great if the bottom portion is painted a different color or something along those lines. what do ya think?

Pearl blue with flakes.. the entire body?..... or are you tlaking blue fades into the black from the bottom (Which in the biz.. they call ghetto-fade... well here thats what they call it... dont know why really...)?...

I definitely think you should paint the bottom section (as well as the middle bottom section of the back) a different color, black being the best.

I'm keeping the base black so i can do a number of things with the paint. But..since the base is back I probably am going to paint the the bottom section something else but I agree, the kit being solid black would probably look the best. I couldn't find but does anyone have the 04 r34 kit on yet with pics to see the outcome?
