Hey everyone, recently discovered this site. I thought I'd give you a look at my chariot.

The main stuff:
2003 Ebony Black Elantra GL
1.8L engine fitted with Simota Racing Pod
5 Speed manual
4 wheel discs (Base model GL's are meant to be fitted with discs and drums)
Factory rear spoiler
Grille been resprayed matt black
Badges removed
Factory 15 x 6 alloys (Soon to be replaced with 17's)

The stereo:
HU - Sony XAV77 7 inch motorised monitor
Factory front and rear speakers (For now)
Subwoofers - 2 x 12 inch Sony XSL121P5's
Sub Amp - JBL GTO 601.1 Monoblock amp
Game Console - Sony PS2
Visual - Sony DVX11A

That's about it. I will be adding more to the stereo shortly, and then working on the interior.

Nice, kind of odd for me being a yank to see the steering wheel on the right, also hows the 1.8L whats the specs and would you rather have the 2.0L?

what exactly is a "racing pod"

CTele02 - I find the 1.8L quite good. Over here there is only about 6-8kw difference between the 1.8 and 2.0 XD's. I've driven one of the new (XD2) 2.0 HVT's, and found that it was not as responsive as mine. It almost seemed to be slower in acceleration and didn't seem to rev as hard.(Probably because it was brand new, only 160kms or about 100mls on the clock) But that's just my opinion.

As you can see, not much difference.

sed - "Racing Pod" is what was printed on the box. It's an air filter pod or pod style filter replacing the panel filter and airbox. When I get started in the interior, I'll get in touch.
