I have a rally red '03 hatchback. I'm considering on purchasing a body kit for it this spring, and I'd like to get some opinions before I make a final decision.

You see, I really like the back of the Ixion kit, but I'm not a big fan of the front. However, I like the front of the R34 kit, but I'm not a big fan of the back of it.

What do you folks think the R34 front and the Ixion sides and back bumper would look like on my car? Do you think it'll match up nice, or do you think people will be able to tell that the front bumper doesn't go with the back bumper or the side skirts? Or do you think I should just stick with either the Ixion kit or the R34 kit? Any comments or suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

I like R34 rear and sides, and R34 front with the two extra holes filled in (a la Tricked).

:worthless :) :) :)

FOund the Ion pics on the sticky thread...no pics of the R34? :-(

Hey Charles...I did see the front of the R34...and I see your point. The combo might look really cool. But, would'nt that be more expensive to buy them seperately?

Whoops! I figured that everyone probably knew what the kits already looked like, so that's why I didn't post any pics.

Yeah, it will be a bit more expensive. If I go with the R34 front and Ixion sides and back, I'm looking at a price of a $1195. If I got the complete Ixion kit, it would be $1155. The complete R34 kit would be the cheapest option at a price of $725.

looking at those pics, that should look nice..... you could even possibly modify the sides of the r34 front to more closely match the sides of the ixion rear....

nice idea, and definately unique....

This is how I would like it.
R34 Front and sides.
Ixion back.
I really don't like the way the ixion sides stick out at the ends.

Charles...I have an 02 GT Chianti Red...just noticed you had a GT also! Cool.

About filling in those extra holes. I had thought the same thing, but are you talking about the bottom-most holes? I think, like you it sounds, that there are just a couple too many holes in there when the bumper is painted all one color. It's not too bad when they black out the bottom.

Photo-Chop time?

Oh...one more thing: That spoiler on this rear pic of the ixion (above), where is that from? And what were your plans for a spoiler? I'm trying to find one like the one pictured above on the ixion...but I'm having no luck.

Hey Dropped, I used your car for the chop and hope you don't mind...yours was the best looking car to work with! :)

I wondered what the R34 would look like w/ the bottom holes filled in...

Ok...I took it one step further. For comparison sake...check it out.

That's the OEM High Spoiler. I don't think it's exacty the same as the one for the sedans though. I'm also not sure where you can get one from, maybe the Hyundai dealership. I did a search a while back and a guy by the SN of BlueGT was selling them a long time ago for $220.

I agree, it is a nice spoiler and I'm also going to try and get one. Currently, I have the black lip spoiler on my car, which looks decent, but it won't look that good once I get the body kit.

I'm trying like crazy to find one to buy...there's plenty of sedan spoilers, but no GT spoilers. :-(

Yeah...I looked at that as well as the others...I think IMO the OEM high spoiler is the best over all. It's not to crazy on the height like the "hey everyone look how big and tall my spoiler is" type spoilers. It's also not crazy on the radical design...remember some of the earlier Hyundai car bodies? WAY TOO CURVEY...they must've been on some LSD or something back then. Damn left over hippies. ;)
