I'm a big fan of mesh grills, but I think I'd like yours better if you had taken everything out of the center...not leave the little nubs sticking out everywhere.

Hmm, maybe leave the bottom two, but get rid of the side ones.

I'm assuming you used the mesh from the lower grill to do this. Be sure to put more mesh down there as it looks uneven now.

Other than that it looks great! But I'm curious to know how you attached the mesh to the back of the grill? I'm planning on doing a similar mod soon.

Regards,
Axel

I still have the mesh for the bottom grill, here in Ontario with the snow I remove it for the winter cause it will get damaged if I leave it. the side nibs actually have blue LED lights behind them for at night just for looks ofcoarse. lol I will post more pics of that later, as I am still working on my lighting mods for my front end.

as for attaching the mesh I used plastic repair opoxy and I will post step by step pics for that as well.

just one thing to say if u do this mod, PLAN AHEAD! unless u have a supply of grills make a plan of what u wanna do first before u cut anything, lol

Nice job, i'm also thinking about doing the same mod, but did you just cut out the old grill? I am just starting out on slowly modifying my car, so any quick tips or tricks would be an awesome help

i like the look of the mesh but i hate the teeth look. imo you should take out the teeth and leave just the mesh.

would it be possible to put the mesh on top of the "teeth" and use em to fasten it there...that way u still could have the LED glowing behind it...just and idea, tho im not sure how far the bottom ones protrude.

Here's my suggestion:

Take off bottom teeth. Dremel the crap out of the front ones, but only from the side facing it, thus leaving that little 'wall' covering your lighting. Make sure it is flush and paint that part black (or another dark color)

My suggestion... buy a KDM or aftermarket style grill.

Sorry, I just don't dig the mesh grill thing.

Where can I but myself a cheap grill? I'd like to try some things on it....

There really isn't a good supply of cheap grills out there. Keep an eye on ebay, or check www.allhyundaiisuzuparts.com and see what they're charging.

my dealership broke mine while changing oil during a required service (warranty) and so i managed to get a new one for free. :D

i was thinking about that wiper too and i think the bottom teeth can stay but the sides can go. but what are you going to do with the bottom?
