You didn't know that?

Drinking too much water disables the electrolytes in your stomache and your body just crashes.

I go through 60-70oz of water a day...

but my sodium intake is similarly through the roof, so it all works out. I can tell you from experience that when you're really active for more than an hour or two (in my case, biking) the LAST thing you want is to crash from dehydration and/or electrolyte loss. it ain't no fun.

Just as long as you don't down 3 gallons of water at once, you're fine.

Keyan is right, you body needs a certain amount of sugars for energy and you dont get that in water. I drink about 4L per day and I am fine so far, you would have to down a lot of H2o to ever worry about this. But yes water is definitely the thirst killer!

That was a strange story. I guess if u strickly drink water w/no other source of sugar that could happen, but what about the food u eat? Your are still getting other proteins from the food u eat.

You do realize that everything you eat has water in it right? Which means you don't actually have to drink your "8 glasses a day" or whatever. Heck, an apple counts as like a glass. There's way too much emphasis on drinking enough water.

I'd also like to add that the fraternity he was pledging is not representative of all fraternities in general. We don't haze. Dammit, I hate having to apologize for these idiots.
