Are component speakers better? Do you get a better sound? Are they harder to wire? Is it worth the extra money? What is all of your opinions on component speakers for the front doors and rear deck. :dj:

Components are better for a couple of reasons...first, they seperate the tweeter from the midrange/woofer to allow for better placement/sound imaging. Secondly, components incorporate a crossover network that sends signals to the appropriate part of the speaker system..low frequencies will be sent to the woofer and highs to the tweeter so that each speaker produces the sound that it is best at and therefore the sound will be clearer, better, etc......they are not harder to wire...just got to run the + and - to one more spot where you mount the tweeter
...most people on this site agree that the best speakers to upgrade first is to get front components....rear speakers are not as important!
