If you like chrome in your car this is a very easy cheap and quick modification.
all you need to do is go to any car parts store and buy a roll of door edge molding, make sure that you get the one that is shaped like a U.
It costs $9.99 in pep boys.
With a wire cutter (makes a cleaner cut than scissors) cut the pieces to the size of your vent, make sure to leave about 1/16" on every side to allow for it to pivot, and to leave enough space for the slider part in the middle. Be very carefully when inserting the molding, open the molding a little with your hands before inserting them, beacuse the vents are delicate and break easy ( i broke one but it wasn't the end of the world, it's not noticeable). You do this as your own risk.
This is how it looks like.

that looks nice. I don't really like chrome, but that is a good idea.

Maybe next time, you should use the 9.99 for gas though ;)

Looks good. Now perfect your skill by doing the upper vents and angeling those top pieces a bit.

And yeah, some gas would be good. hehe (good eye Sed hehe...)

the molding has a glue in it, i don't think is even glue, it's some sticky stuff.

It does not stick well to those vents on top of the dashboard, plus they are in a weird angle, I'll probably fix the problem with epoxy glue. :) this should keep the corners from going up in those vents, thanks TNT. Again do this at you own risk.

i did mine a while ago and i removed the silicone from the inside of the molding strips with a screwdriver or something like that to get a closer fit.
