I did something similar to my A/C vents, and as I was pulling out of my garage it ocurred to me to do it to the front grille of the car, It looks really REALLY NICE:

all you need to do is go to any car parts store and buy a roll of door edge molding, make sure that you get the one that is shaped like a U.
It costs $9.99 in pep boys.

With a wire cutter (makes a cleaner cut than scissors), cut the pieces to the size of the bars of the grille, you may have to do additional cutting on the back of the molding to make it fit flush to some areas of the grille and you are going to have to glue the molding to the three wider bars. (or you can leave it without the molding on the wider bars) you can see the two options in the pictures.

You can also see the vanity licence plate (FL doesn't require front Licence plate), and my newly installed fogligths.

tell me your opinion :)

looks good, I plan on doing the same to my wifes car this spring.

One tip though, you need to seal the your cut ends or water will get in them and discolor the chrome. Any clear epoxy or even nail polish will do the trick.

The PT cruiser groups have been doing their grills with that stuff since the car came out.

You can get a big roll, and precut a few sets and sell them on Ebay.

Looks good from far, but how about up close?

I think for the same look you might be better off using the strip-ease method of removing the black paint that is over the chrome.

Looks good. Do you have any close up pics?
Where did you get that license plate? I like it.

here is the close up pic, don't mind the spots/nicks on the bars, they are bugs, i live close to the everglades and i haven't washed my car in two weeks :P.

About the licence plate i got it from a kiosk in Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs, FL.
Right now I don't have the name of the place, I'll try to remember to get the phone # next time I go there.

Another option you might gat the name of the kiosk if you call tha mall information, and tell them that you need the name and phone # of a kiosk and they should be able to help you.
Location:Coral Square is located at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and University Drive in Coral Springs, Florida,Phone Number (954) 755-5550
