I want to change all my exterior lights to leds, the only problem is the brake lights have a low and high beam is there any led bulbs that have that, the only ones I found are either on or off, also is there a led bulb that has a barrel base to fit over the license plate holder ? thanks guys
well, you are going to need more than one LED for each light.
The LED taillights all have at least 20 - 30 leds soldered in series... you are going to be doing a lot of soldering....
shawn :)
just buy the premade LEDS made in the same bulb pattern as the tailights and such.
check ebay

http://www.autolumination.com/ is the only place i know of that would have something at least remote to what you need. and it is possible to make LEDs shine brighter or dimmer...my HVAC does respond to the dimmer switch so i don't see why it wouldn't work (at least in theory) with hi and lo for the brake light. to do it right i'd check what the voltage is during both hi and lo and then look at the specs for the LED bulbs (clusters) for min and max voltage. i hope this makes sense and/or helps to send you on the right path
you whore go to chat
and i don't know wtf you are talking about with high low brake lights, my brake light is one brake light, one tail light and one reverse light, wtf are you talking about high/low?

Think of it like this:
It's night time. You have your lights on. You hit your brakes, and your tail lights get brighter.
ohhhh ok thankie, uhm thats just a voltage change.... the LED will adapt to this just like any other bulb... just go to ebay and buy the LED replacement for the tail light
