i guess it's called the b-pillar too. well i just got a p3700mp hu installed and have a jl10w7 in the trunk w/ a jbl 600.1 and for the wiring of the amp and sub a friend and i were going to go under the carpet along the side, but we couldn't remove this seatbelt panel so we were wonderin if there were any suggestions. i have an 05 gls, and it looks like it has 2 pieces that you have to slide off going in opposite direction.

yea i looked there but for the 04 models they don't really have any directions for the removal only hint is that i have to break the clips then replace

i figured it out, you put on some gloves, pull back the weatherstrip, get a nice grib on any side starting on bottom where a clip is a just pull gently, the pieces will pop out (scary as mess though, but once you get it, it's easy and less frightening), hope this helps someone else.

Yeah, Webtech is really good in some spots and in others not very good at all. Glad you got it figured out.

Where in VA are you?

it's easy, but you will definately need some gloves. and these are times which i wish i had a digital camera...but

1.remove the panels around the center 1 by getting a good grip around the clip and just pull, don't worry around breaking the clip b/c you won't even though it is a little scary.

2.Once you removed the 2 surrounding panels, pull the weatherstripping off around the center panel, it helps give you a better grip. depending on the year of your elantra the seatbelt bolt might be attachted and you'll have to remove that before taking off the center panel.

3.after you pulled back the weather stripping, make sure that the bottom extension part of the panels lil clip is pull above the wiring and carpet. after that make sure your gloves are on and start w/ the top and make sure the 2 sides of the top are popped out then work with 1 side of the top using both hands and just pull forward with some strength and then do the other side going all the way down.

4.fix your seatbelt if you can then put the center back on and the other 2 panels and you should be fine.

i'll try get a friend's dig cam to help w/ pics. but any other questions about removal just hit me up.
