Hi guys I was just wondering I have read on a number of posts about conecting in a shock sensor to the standard alarm system, if this is the case what if anything would stop me conecting in an ultasonic detector with a negative output and 0.2 pulse output into this system. Also if this could be done why not also wire in the shock sensor at the same time???. i though all these would be interesting to incorporate into the standard system, espesially as I have just wired in a auto window lift when the alarm is armed. As I said just wondering.

there's no reason you can't hook up multiple sensors to the stock system. it's very easy compared to doing an auto window up when armed. did you do that yourself?

see? i keep telling ppl the stock alarm is not bad, you just have to add on to it, lol...

I added a dual stage shock sensor which the siren hookup from the sensor is attached to pin C7 of the ETACS or the hood pin switch wire. The other one is hooked up to a pulse ralay timer to the horn circuit.

Yes Southpawboston I did do it myself. The unit that I used is a Mongoose alarm module,(Avaliable here in AUS not sure about the States though) i though well if it works with that why not mine then, it wasnt that hard. The only problem has been that the current sensing to the rear drivers side (passanger in the States) window kept tripping meaning that window would start to close then stop.I rectified this by changing the sensor from a 9 amp to a 15 amp.It may just be that that motor is not as efficient as the others or the window track may have more friction, but the problem is now fixed.
The Ultrasonic module is a generic one that I will now install (link below) along with the shock sensor
