Things are finally warming up at our factory in Asia so that we can resume our production. The XD1 hood is one of the ones we want to start with should the prebuy go through. However, before we do a prebuy, we wanted final confirmation of the style. As per the final poll we did, invader style won. Most of you know what the invader style is. However, we are giong to be offering a different kind of invader style hood for other cars in the foreign market, such as the sylvia and the skyline. Its something new and unique, so wanted to see what you guys think. Should we go for this style hood instead of just the invader with one scoop? post feedback here

it is a love hate thing.

here is a picture of it on a sylvia. i dont like it on the sylvia because the placement is too high, but it resemblems the invader, just with the extra air vents.

Group buy price will probably start at around 395 plus shipping

so far one vote for, one vote against.

Hmm, although I'm not looking to buy a CF hood, I do like this style, it's different. As long as the vented part doesn't stick up outta the hood too far it's perfect.

I'm just glad to see this whole thing moving in the finished direction. Good luck Yam.

as soon as we decide on this style we will do a photochop and put the prebuy on the website together with the prebuy on the carbon fiber trunk.

i don't mind the extra slits, but the rivets have got to go. It looks cheap with the rivets, like you hired some mexican to do a ghetto hood vent for you.

The second pic you posted looks a lot better. I like the hood style. However I agree that the profile must be low and smooth. So the vent is not sticking up too far out of the hood, so you have to look a little and then be interested (like a hidden gem).

Im not really feeling that hood either

its ok, but i would buy a single vent invader hood over this one...

I heard carbon fiber trunk. please don't tease me, tell me this is a plausible product???

The rivits are there because that was a custom job...of course after that they bondoed everything in and made it seamless....the sylvia picture is how it would look like after its all even..

single vent....it would look perfect on a kitted car and a stock looking car as well...as long as the vents are not too large and dont protrude out....just my .02

I'd be in if I had any spending money for both a hood and trunk lid. :-( Anyway, personally I'd do a dual vent, invader style, spaced just behind the radiator and above the exauhst manifold/cat

Multi-vents = fugly-assnastical.
Let's go with the single vent Invader style guys...we don't want to get too ricey now.

I 100% agree. Looks ghetto fabulous. :abovelol: Reminds me of the rear window louvers on the early 80's Pontiac TransAm.

LOL!! Ah...now that brings back memories...horrid 80's memories...but memories none the less.

I would'nt mind a vented hood..but it'd have to be seamless and I'm not so sure about the multiple vents. More pics plz.

i don't mind the extra slits, but the rivets have got to go. It looks cheap with the rivets, like you hired some mexican to do a ghetto hood vent for you. I believe that is a prototype for what he plans do do in CF minus the rivets. There can be lots of prototypes. Let's see what else is out there. I sorta like the Astrel "bonnet cover" let's see if I can find a pic to post.

Yam, you just have to go ahead and make one. People will never agree. It's better to make one, half the people will buy it, then part of the other half will buy it because it's available.

Oh course, I'm talking about the people that will actually buy one, not the people that say they will (for clarification, I don't want one, so I don't care).

Yam I'm not busting on you, I just hate that look on a 130HP car

ok, then, so that exact style, just without the extra vents, thus making it like the original invader style?

JEM had the vented carbon fiber hoods for our cars way way back. That was a sweet hood I wanted to buy 1 of those forever but he wouldnt call me back. If i could get that hood i would be in. By the way. I still own Sed even though I dont get on much anymore. HA HA HA LOL :bondage:

I personally like the hood posted up on top, also mentioning if it were a one piece carbon fiber one. My Hyundai Has already scared a few people off the road alone with just the Evo.3 kit. The hood would "Definitely" stir up more attention with the crowd. Send me an E-mail at Evolantra03@yahoo.com when the hoods are finished. That would be awsome to see.

yeah the hood definatly looks good..........on the Silva and Skyline. You also have to realize that our hoods are NOT 1/2 as wide and the vents will most likely take up the entire hood for the elantra! YAK!!! :gotrice:
