I guess with black you can see thats its not as smooth looking as with grey, but only up close. i think it should look sweet when you get done and have it all installed.

the pic makes it look rough, but those are the metallic flakes shining off the flash... Its just as smooth as the gray panel...

shawn :)

oh, and that isn't black. Its dark charcoal grey metallic. The viynl parts on top and the arm rest are black, the fabric is now gray leather...

did you have to use a special paint to paint those? sand it or primer it before?

paint which?

all the plastic parts were cleaned, primered, sanded, primered, painted, sanded, painted, sanded, painted, clearcoat.

They viynl is a spray dye, just make sure it is 100% clean and free of debris.

I was just about to ask if you used like a krylon fusion or simliar paint of the soft-vinyl.
But you just answered that.
It'll never dry using normal paint. Forever sticky. lol

Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!

Are you changing your carpet too? I can't wait to see what it looks like when you're done! However, it looks like quite a scary project when you look at the gutted interior. At least for me, who has to have the car put back together by the end of the day so I can drive to work the next morning. I take it you have another vehicle for transportation while this is going on?
